Gender Equality At Work

According to gender parity principles, we have established an internal restructuring plan to improve the distribution of responsibilities and prerogatives. This is an issue that is particularly close to our hearts. We value the labor of all the women and men who work for us, whether they are simple workhands, supervisors or executives. Moreover, a good proportion of our executives are made up of women and we are very proud of that.

Boudjebel does not skimp on resources when it comes to always giving more value and credit to its human resources. This is the reason why in 2020, we started a program aimed at the recognition of gender equality at work, in collaboration the IFC (International Finance Corporation). With support from World Bank Group, Boudjebel is in the process of acquiring the EDGE (Economic Dividends for Gender Equality) certification that recognizes parity between men and women employment.

Aware that quality is a common issue to all stakeholders in the date industry, from orchards to shelves, Boudjebel organizes training sessions for distributors especially in Jakarta, Indonesia. This is a unique opportunity to meet the distributors who are daily handling the products, to better sensitize them to good storage and merchandising practices.
